A wierd little day

29. February 2004 | Category Personal

A day that happens every four years. Odd, definitely odd. I suppose with a dumb trip around the sun being some 365.24 or so odd days, something goofy was bound to happen. Those crazy Romans created this screwy calender we use and then for some odd reason someone moved the beginning of the year back to the first of January, when March 1st signaled the start of spring and the planting season. Wierd huh?

What about all those poor bastards that are born that day. When the rest of their friends are age 8, are they only 2? I guess they actually get their birthday on the 28th or 1st depending on how they really want it to all play out. I’m up for celebrating this uniquely unique day, but I reckon it’ll fall on deaf ears. Maybe I’ll give the ol’ black book a try and see how this day plays out.

Ah, Capitalism!

28. February 2004 | Category Personal

Recently, I received a letter from some Compact Disc MAP Antitrust Litigation Administrator from Faribault,MN. I was shocked that this piece of mail included a personal check and a short explanation as to my receiving said check from a MASSIVE antitrust case that was brought against the Music Industry.

What a joke. After waiting a year and purchasing numerous ‘fixed’ CDs in my life, I finally get a payment for their price-fixing ways. And these scum wanna sue the same citizens that enjoy the mp3 and file sharing craze? What hypocrites! Screw the music industry. This check that I cashed further proves the stupidity of their shady industry and the cronies that are playing their ancient games in boardrooms while technology flys right by.

To show my disgust, I gave my money to the Indians. I think they always could use the profits from the Music Industry to maybe start putting up a gambling establishment or two. I believe it’s in the Constitution somewhere.

Ah, the joys of Alcohol

27. February 2004 | Category Personal

Been sampling the ‘fruits of my labor’ recently and am proud to say that Alcohol 120% proof is a fine vintage.

I find that it’s best to heed the use of protection when using such a powerful and intoxicating potion, but that’s just me.

To hell with the commercial backup, it’s dead. Just because someone wants to backup their own data, the RIAA and Hollywood get their undies in a bunch.

Unsafe at any Rate

It sounds as if that idiot Ralph Nader is once again tossing his hat into the presidental ring. This jerk doesn’t know when to just shut up already and the Republicans in DC are giddy with joy that Nader wants to help them out again this year. This BS happened four years ago too and look what has happened to the country since! Nader’s retortic is about as far right wing as a ‘liberal’ can get. All his running will do if fracture the opposition to ‘King George the 2nd’, whom intends to oversee his reign at least four more years. Now he has a liberal lackey to legitimize his rule.

Nader’s hatred of America first started when he cursed GM for producing the Corvair. Sure they eventually killed it’s production but Nader made it his national stepping stone has been drudging up worthless drivel ever since.

Hopefully Osama will surrender before November so we can keep our ‘Commander & Thief’ in office, after all he was appointed by God. (As referenced in RollingStone)

“The Ladies’ Privilege”

19. February 2004 | Category Personal

As Feb. 29th happens this year, I’m embracing the idea whole-hog…(er….whole hearted-ly). It seems legit and I don’t mind the whole premise behind it. But hopefully in 4 years I won’t be even remotely considering the idea. Check out Snopes for more details. Maybe the boyfriend part would have to come into play quickly though too.
